Lakeside has been providing professional development training for over 25 years. We have developed social-emotional, parenting and trauma-informed curriculum utilized by over 70,000 participants across a variety of professions, who are providing a diverse array of services to those with significant needs. This is most appropriately categorized as therapeutic education, utilized to help guide both children and adults who struggle with trauma, adversity and related issues by giving them well-researched information, a positive relational process, and ways to practice their newfound knowledge within their own community and sphere of influence.
As we have recently encountered less available funding in our society for professional development, we recognize the need to become more innovative in how we deliver our training to make it more accessible to a greater audience. This innovation is particularly important in light of the significant mental health crisis in our country.
Since Lakeside’s expertise encompasses a broad scope of research and knowledge, we feel it is important to continue our impact and make it relevant to how people receive training in our current technological environment. That stewardship is something that we take quite seriously. With the current virtual reality technology alongside of the growing trend of the use of AI, Lakeside has been working to contextualize our training to a user-friendly environment available to thousands of individuals who want to receive mental health and trauma-informed training. Similar to how our society uses subscriptions, we have adopted a way for everyone to have access to our training.
This week we are releasing a new web presence, platform, virtual reality training and a community all found on the website lakecloud.ai. On this site you will find a new app entitled Lakeside Metaverse featuring LakeCloud Intro to Trauma, a free course that anyone can take to get a basic understanding of trauma and its impact. The course is carefully designed with a variety of learning modalities, stories, immersive experiences, regulation exercises, and interactive conversations with our own AI based on our author Diane Wagenhals.
Once a participant has completed the Intro to Trauma course, they have access to our free LakeCloud community where they can have discussions, explore resources, find videos, converse with other individuals in the community, have private conversations relevant to being trauma-informed, and so much more. This will be an exclusive, uniquely trauma-informed community designed for those who are interested in tools for mental health training and support.
This is just the beginning of what LakeCloud has to offer. We are now in the process of establishing resources to develop new courses, skills, and a mental health companion that will provide personal interactive training in a conversational manner, all based on the exhaustive curriculum that Lakeside has developed in mental health and trauma-informed care. Our experts have spent their lives developing this information and now we are in the process of making it available to this new community.
You can explore our new website and training platform at lakecloud.ai. We are excited about the potential of LakeCloud and hope you will join and become a part of our innovation in mental health care and support.
